Founded in February 2011, Destiny Shipping Agencies Ltd has grown into a trusted Freight Forwarding and Shipping Agencies for businesses worldwide. Destiny Shipping Agencies Ltd came into being when the Global Giants were already in existence in the Industry. We were like David amongst the Goliaths. Destiny Shipping braved its way into the Shipping and Logistics Industry with our vision and mission ahead of us and today we are a force to be reckoned with as we have made impact in the industry and become an household name in Sierra Leone, Liberia and The Gambia and the World at large.

Our Team

Corneleius A. Max-Williams, Founder and CEO

Prior to founding Destiny Shipping Agencies Ltd, Max was the Shipping Manager of Sierra Leone Shipping Agencies Ltd, a Company belonging to the Bollore Group from 1992 to 2011. He is the one that Revolutionise the Shipping Industry in Sierra Leone. In his time with Bollore, he was opportune to handle and attend to Liner vessels Like Maersk, P&O Nedlloyd, MSC, G&C Lines – Now Grimaldi Lines, Torm Lines, Nile Dutch Africa Line, Delmas, OTAL, CMA-CGM, Cosco, K Line, MOSK Lines. He was directly involved in operations, planning, Marketing etc.

He singly attended to all the Navy vessels – US and British, during the war and has attended to all navy vessels that have called Freetown Port. (British, US, French, Netherlands & Nigeria).

He had attended to many tramp vessels calling to discharge cargo like Bulk \ Bagged rice; cement; aid cargo for aid NGOs like WFP, Care, World Vision, CRS etc.; general cargo / break-bulk; clinker, limestone & gypsum; petroleum products; sugar – import and export.

Had acted for P&I Clubs and have acted as cargo surveyor / superintendents up to standardization.

He was solely in charge of the Anadarko Oil prospecting project for more than two years, attending to drill ship and the supply boats, airport and seaport activities and documentations.

Max has a BSc (Hons) Economics Majoring in Development Economics and Minor in Monetary Economics.

Max has several honorary degrees / awards as listed below:

1. On the 14th. Day of December 2017, he was awarded a Master Class certificate in Business Management and Leadership. On that same day, he was awarded the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) Specializing in Shipping and Port Management (Honoris Causa). Awarded by the Commonwealth University, Belize.

2. On the 05th. July 2018, he was awarded Humanitarian of the Year by the African Achievers during the 8th Edition of the AAA Annual Lectures & Honours hosted by Diane Abbott, MP at the House of Parliament, United Kingdom

3. On the 05th. December 2019, he was awarded an Advanced Executive Certificate in recognition of hard work and consistency in completing a training course on Management to Leadership: Making the Transition. On that same day he was awarded the Honorary Doctorate Degree in Public Administration, DPA (Honoris Causa) in recognition of the meritorious industry and professional achievements. Given by the London Bridge Business School in collaboration with the West Africa Institute for Public Administration Accra, Ghana.

4. On the 10th. March 2020, he was awarded an Honorary PhD (Honoris Causa) in Global Leadership and Public Management by the IIC University of Technology, Kingdom of Cambodia

Roseline has a very rich experience in the Shipping and logistic industry for over 12 years. She has been very instrumental in the operations of tramp vessels as well as handling the Administration of the Agency. She has a Master’s degree

Corneleius, has been with the Company from its inception and grown up the rank and was the Operations Manager when he went to the UK to pursue his MBA. He has returned to take up the position of the Chief Operations Officer. He has a MBA degree from the University of Worcester, United Kingdom.

Mohamed B. Karim
Finance Manager

Mohamed oversees the Accounting Department, ensuring that proper accounting is done, and proper records kept for accounting purposes.
